Daniel Fernandez, LPCC

Hi, welcome to my website! I graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s in Multicultural Community Counseling. I have experience working with individuals and couples on a wide-range of issues, such as depression, marital conflict, anxiety, trauma, and more. I have worked in outpatient psychiatry clinics and higher education settings.

I was born and raised in San Diego. I enjoy travelling, going on food adventures, playing pickleball, working out at the gym, and riding on my bike downtown.

Therapeutic Approach

Life can sometimes feel like a whirlwind of emotions, changes, and challenges. I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where young people can explore their thoughts and build resilience. With a blend of warmth, empathy, and practical tools, I support clients in managing anxiety, navigating relationships, and finding their unique paths in a complex world. Together, we’ll work to build confidence, cope with stress, and foster self-discovery—so they can thrive both now and in the future.

As an Asian-American, I believe that there are specific cultural and systemic factors that play a role in one’s own mental well-being. Because of this, I like to deliver culturally competent care to underserved, BIPOC communities.
